Bach In the Synagogue

29.06.2024 - 23:00 / Old Synagogue , ul. Szeroka 24

Born in 1685, J.S. Bach, was a musical prodigy, a master of counterpoint, the author of timeless compositions which have over the centuries remained an inexhaustible treasury of knowledge in the field of harmony, improvisation, but primarily a source of beauty in itself. Thanks to the use of brilliant harmonic patterns in individual compositions, these works have been extremely attractive both in their original versions and when creatively transformed by artists improvising on various instruments.

One of such artists is Jarosław Bester, a musician whose work covers various styles. He will present his own interpretation of selected works by J.S. Bach originally composed for keyboard instruments. They will be performed in the form of creative improvisations, impressions, but above all in the performer’s original interpretation for a solo accordion – an instrument first made in 1829 and thus unknown in Bach “era”.

Tickets (N: 80 / U: 50 PLN) available at 33.jewsihfestival.pl and one hour before the concert at the entrance to the venue.
