From the album’s preface: “The contemporary image of Kazimierz in the works of Lesław Wabik is the unique architecture of its tenement houses, with the depth of their facades, the richness of the ground floor vaults with renaissance columns between the windows, and its ornamental stone masonry. Kazimierz also means charming courtyards, yards with porches, and staircases which soon will be gone. They are becoming a thing of the past. How nostalgic is this album, how much thought, mystery, and local climate it contains! The photographs created by the artist are a direct reference to the images of Kazimierz created by Kraków photographers in the 19th century.” – Janusz Lenczowski
