Niusia from Schindler’s List (PL)

In the book, the personal story of Niusia Horowitz-Karakulska written down by Magda Huzarska-Szumiec is intertwined with a literary description of the heroine’s fate. The author takes us to the darest moments of the Second World War, describing Niusia’s experiences as a child imprisoned in the Krakow Ghetto and two concentration camps. The story of Niusia, however, does not leave us with a feeling of hopelessness. It is also a story of a miraculous salvation and a return to normal life.

The meeting with Bronisława (Niusia) Horowitz-Karakulska and the author of the book, Magda Huzarska-Szumiec will be led by Katarzyna Zimmerer.
