“To Leave Something to the World. Beyond the Pages of Renia Spiegel’s Diary” (PL/EN)

“Now one still has to live, to strive, to try, to leave something to the world,” Renia Spiegel wrote these words in her wartime diary. She was murdered in July 1942. Yet, she left something to the world: her diary and her poems. The new temporary exhibition at Galicia Jewish Museum “To Leave Something to the World. Beyond the Pages of Renia Spiegel’s Diary” is a continuation and extension of the film project based on Renia’s diary. The exhibition allows visitors to learn about the historical context of the events Renia describes, the fate of her relatives and the fate of the diary itself.
