“You shall keep My commandments and perform them”. A Comparison of Halakhic Codes, Studying Chosen Excerpts (PL)

What is the content of the Shema prayer? Which commandments does it include? How did it happen that Shema became the main Jewish prayer? What Halakhic rules are related to saying the Shema? We will follow the history of Halakhic codes and how the very same rule is depicted in the Torah, the Mishnah, the Gemara, the Mishneh Torah, TUR, Shulchan Aruch, Mishna Bura, and Kitzur Shulchan Aruch, which is the the shortened version of the main Jewish code of law (recently published in Polish).
We will study all texts in Hebrew with translation to Polish (to participate in this class one does not need any knowledge of Hebrew).
