Jarosław Bester will play his solo accordion recital in one of the Kazimierz’s synagogues (Saturday, June 29th, godz. 23.00).

As you can see, there will be no Shalom on Szeroka Street this year. In the current political and social situation, we are unable to provide our audience with safety and comfort during a concert in such a specific space as Szeroka Street.

In addition to above mentioned concerts, we will also invite you to music workshops: Yiddish singing with Jeff Warschauer, Yiddish music with Deborah Strauss, nigunim singing with Paweł Szamburski, K. Mołodowska song workshops with Sveta Kundush and Alan Bern, Jewish oriental music workshops with teachers of Maqamat school in Safed, Israel. Alchemia will host traditional jazz sessions, while the FKŻ Tent will host Polish and Israeli DJs.

We will also invite you to pioneering deep listening workshops. Together with Rafał Mazur you will learn to listen and hear the real sounds of Kazimierz in its characteristic locations (High Synagogue, Old Synagogue, Nowy Square) and at very unobvious times.

In addition, Michał Jaczyński will talk about Jewish music in the interwar period, which will provide an excellent context for Janek Młynarski’s Sunday concert of Hebrew tangos. This lecture is very symbolic for us, because Michał was our volunteer a few years ago. Today he returns to FKŻ as a lecturer!

Details of all events will soon be available in the Program section at the top of the page.

See you on 33. FKJ!
