Music is a quality mark of our Festival and although it is only a small part of each festival edition, it is the most visible and discussed part of our annual program, and the audience of music events constitutes much more than half of all participants of JCF. This year we have 16 concerts and 4 DJ parties for you. And although there will be no Shalom on Szeroka Street, just like every year you will see a whole variety of contemporary Jewish music from Israel and the Diaspora – including from Poland.

Projects that we show at the festival are very often created on our order. This year’s concerts of Maya Belsitzman, Maqamat, Strauss/Warschauer Duo are prepared especially for the Krakow audience (each of these bands will play two different concerts). Other projects – e.g. The Sway Machinery, The Kadya Trio, Voices of Yemen, Jarek Bester or the Warsaw Dance Combo – will have on the 33rd JCF their Polish or even world premieres.

The main concert venue will be the hall of the Museum of Engineering and Technology at ul. św. Wawrzyńca 15, but the concerts will also take place in the Festival Tent, Alcheyia club and the Old Synagogue. Tickets and passes can be bought on our website (concerts in the Festival Tent are free). They will also be available before the entrance, unless they are sold out beforehand.

To encourage you to come to the festival concerts – we have a short guide to the music of this year’s JCF: listen, watch and come to Kazimierz!
