The JCF volunteers, whom we proudly call “Machers”, have been helping us to organize and carry out successive editions of the Festival for years. In the appreciation of their selfless devotion of their time to us, we wanted them to be able to learn something while working for the JCF as well.
Thanks to the European Union grant which we have received from the European Solidarity Corps, for the third time now we have the opportunity to invite several dozen young people from many world countries to Krakow for more than a month. From May 24th until July 12th , they will participate in an educational program concerning the Jewish culture, the history of Jews in Krakow, project management and working in teams, especially prepared for them. In addition, they will create a series of audio guides to Kazimierz in various languages, which will be available, free of charge, to tourists, but also to Krakow residents who would like to see their city from a different point of view.
If you would like to learn more about the life of the Machers in previous years, listen to their stories – please visit the Machers’ website.
